Calibration & certification

North American Survey Supply runs an onsite repair and calibration lab that calibrates and repairs instruments to NIST-traceable standards.

Annual and multi-year service and certification are available for an additional fee, and we can recommend a service cycle that matches how an instrument is used. Regular service removes dust and dirt to keep manufacturer precision and function, and instruments used in harsh environments should be cleaned, re-lubricated, adjusted, and certified on a schedule.

Calibration and certification service includes:

• Manufacturer or custom parts
• Quick turnaround on repairs
• Discounted service contracts and extended warranties
• Calibration certificates and reports with before-and-after measurements
• Calibration stickers and a calibration reminder program

Certification options (call for pricing): basic certification without readings, certification with readings after calibration, or certification with readings before and after calibration.

NASS calibrates and repairs most manufacturers, including Topcon, Sokkia, Leica, Brunson, South, GeoMax, Laser Reference, Stonex, K&E, Kern, Wild, Cubic Precision, Winlight, Nikon, and Trimble.

The calibration lab keeps an array of instruments and parts on hand to repair damaged instrumentation.

Instrument rental

Whether an instrument is temporarily out of commission, or a project calls for extra or specialized equipment, chances are we have it available to rent.

We keep a complete inventory of rental instruments and supplies, including pipe lasers, slope lasers, detectors and receivers, total stations, theodolites, lasers, clinometers, automatic levels, jig transits, prisms, tribrachs and adapters, alignment scopes, lateral slides, mirrors, tooling scales and holders, eyepieces, rods, data collectors and tablets, tripods, and stands.
