Tooling Scales
Tooling scales are high-precision measuring artifacts used primarily in metrology and industrial alignment. Unlike standard rulers, optical tooling scales are engineered with specialized "paired-line" targets that allow an alignment telescope or precision level to measure lateral deviations from a line of sight with sub-thousandth-of-an-inch accuracy. They are essential for industrial tasks like leveling machine beds, aligning engine bores, and ensuring parallelism in paper or steel mills.
