Alignment Telescopes
Alignment telescopes (also known as "line scopes") are precision optical tooling instruments used to establish and maintain a perfectly straight reference line in space. Unlike astronomical telescopes designed for viewing distant stars, these are industrial tools used for critical mechanical alignments, such as centering engine bores, aligning bearing journals, and leveling large machine foundations.
What we carry
BRUN-2022 Series Alignment Telescopes
- Designed specifically to measure deviations from a reference line, and secondarily, to provide an extremely straight optical reference line for alignment applications. (2) built-in optical micrometers which measure at right angles to each other. Has built-in autoreflection target on its objective lens and an autocollimation illumination unit. May be purchased without an autoreflection target. Also available in metric (2024) with .01mm accuracy.
BRUN-2030 Series Alignment Telescopes
- Essentially the same as the 2022 but has a right angle eyepiece and a two-reticle system consisting of a dark field, bright line reticle as well as a bright field, dark line reticle. Features specifically enhance the unit’s accuracy and ease of use when autocollimating. Includes a built-in autoreflection target on the objective lens. Autocollimation illumination unit included. Black and red graduations indicate direction of displacement.
